I got myself these shoes for my son, a standard kid who loves to scooter, but isn't rough on his shoes or clothes like some youngsters are. Usually, he outgrows his shoes before he wears them out. These sneakers were the best, though. In a month of putting them on, the wear and tear on the soles was very noticeable (the traction was gone), and very soon afterwards, a split opened from the suede internally instep. This is actually the third month of him wearing these footwear, and although he really liked them, the holes in the bottoms now go throughout-- almost to his socks!! They have owned other name-brand skate shoes, that happen to be built with extra rubber in places where skaters typically put them on down. They wore as good as these, which is to be maneuvering to the garbage tonight. Long story, short-- they look nice fit well, but don't last NEARLY as long as they need to.
