As soon as your 12 yr old has size 18 feet, shoes are difficult to uncover. Got these for under usual retail price. Shoes are heavy and still have many padding similar to most skate shoes, but we were pretty pleased to get skate shoes in the size. His feet remain growing, and that we wouldn't be surprised to find out our son using a size 25 shoe size before he's done, but he's only 5 foot 5, yet still growing, and perhaps DC could make these within a size 25 eventually.
